I have a way of looking at photography as a natural record of beautiful family moments. It is not just about making an image, but rather a record of feelings experienced in a certain period of time in our lives that allows us to travel in time and relive those same feelings.

My purpose

The proximity

To capture the best spontaneous photographs I use a methodology of proximity to the client. I don't just want to capture images, but also feelings and so I try to get to know the people I work with and also make myself known to the client. Basically, create a friendship relationship that can last for many years to come. Only in this way will we be able to obtain a final result that is natural and full of feeling.

About me

I am a happy woman, confident in the good things in life, who believes in love, but above all in the union between people.

I was born in Portugal but immigrated to Venezuela when I was still a child. Spanish became my main language, however, at home I still spoke Portuguese with my parents. Even today I consider that I do a mix between the two languages, which I call portunhol :D

I love the beach and I live 10 minutes from Costa da Caparica. When the weather is good, I take my daughters and we go to the sand (always with a jacket). I don't like gatherings and that's why in the summer, we run away to gardens and forests, basically places where we can walk barefoot.

I like life, with everything it brings us, good times and bad. I try to be grateful for everything, and that makes me a happy woman. Of course, there are days when I break down and allow myself to cry, to feel that my soul is clean and full of strength to continue.

I think life is perfect, but I'm not looking for perfection. I don't educate my daughters to be the best, not the most beautiful, not the most ... nothing, for me they are perfect and I do everything to make them feel that way.

My photography is not for perfect families, and for families that find perfection in the details that make them unique, families that forget where they leave their keys, that have toothless children (they are the cutest), that have dirty shoes from playing so much and make faces that look beautiful in photographs.

Above I have some photographs that mark my childhood. that tell stories. We have the first picture they took of me. I was still in the maternity ward. I have a very special affection for her. The photograph of my parents who, like many, immigrated. I was born in Portugal and raised between Almada and Minas da Panasqueira, by my grandparents. At my baptism I show my little suit that was also worn by my daughters at their baptism. When my grandfather passed away, I went to Venezuela, where a new adventure began.

I learned to swim, to read, to write, to grow. I can say that I have two countries, with two different worlds. I always came back to Portugal on summer holidays, but never in winter...

I still haven't gotten used to the cold :D
